I've had the FFAP5034W running for about a week now. It has been running as it should, cycling on and off, pulling water out of the basement air and pumping it out the drain tube.

This is the fourth dehumidifier we've had in eight years but really three as the first one died aftrer a year and was covered by warranty. None seem to last more than 3 years.

Good model. Only complaint is when emptying the full bucket. Handle is in an awkward spot and not easy to grab and take out. Needs to have the handle revamped so it's easier to get bucket out.

This dehumidifier has done a fantastic job of pulling tons of moisture out of the air in our basement, and having the pump means we can just let it run and not worry about dumping it out all of the time!

This is a well constructed dehumidifier but.... it's the second one i've purchased, the first one died after 1year and 10 months. It was out of warranty so there was no help from Frigidaire. If you purchase from Amazon, buy the extra warranty.

Does the job and pump works great. I have it going into my condensate pump which handles pumping the water out of the house. Previous unit ran for 3 years almost non-stop without issue.

I live in FL so I need to run a dehumidifier pretty much all day in my main living space. I needed one with a pump so I don't have to remember to empty the bucket when it is full. I have been very pleased with this product! I love all the features that my 2 other dehumidifiers (other brands) did not have. The wheels on this are great and make it easy to maneuver. The handle on top is also a nice add to help in moving it around. I LOVE the red floater that helps show where the water line is in the fill bucket- this is genius! I always had a hard time seeing the water line on my other ones. The fill bucket top is mostly closed which helps reduce spills when carrying it to empty it out. Just a lot of little details that really make this a standout product. Even the pump drain line has a marking to know if you have put it in far enough! So far it is working well. Similar noise level as other brands except the pump is actually not even noticeable when it is working. The real test will be the test of time as dehumidifiers notoriously conk out pretty fast. Fingers crossed that I can get several years out of it.

This is a replacement for a 4 month old unit. Took 1 month and help from better business bureau to receive replacement.Unit working great for the week I have owned it. Hopefully it continues to work this good. Only complaint would be very noisy.

This 50 pint dehumidifier dried out my very damp basement in two days and was able to keep the relative humidity at a comfortable 45%. I am draining the water runoff into my sump pump. However, this unit is equipped with its own pump if you need to Discharge the water up and out of the basement. I was amazed how quiet the unit is on the low fan setting. As expected when the relative humidity reached the setpoint the unit turns itself off so it is totally quiet until dehumidification is needed again.

Very good appliance. I bought a more-expensive, off-brand Chinese dehumidifier from Lowes that leaked right out of the box! Promptly returned it and sought an American brand. This dehumidifier works great! It's relatively quiet and reduced humidity rapidly. I like the options of continuous drain or pumped drain too. Highly recommended!

This is much quieter than other dehumidifiers I have owned. This is the second one I have bought- the first is still working well. I had bought a Midea unit a year ago that broke and was just out of warranty and the company refused to repair or replace. The pump feature is very convenient so I don™™t have to empty the bucket by hand. My only complaint is the humidistat is not very accurate but I bought a separate one for $12.

This unit is a replacement for an earlier unit that lasted two years. And just like the previous one, this unit does a fantastic job. Reasonably quiet, shuts off once the basement reaches 45%, all you could ask. I just wish they would last longer!

I recently bought the Frigidaire 50 Pint Dehumidifier from P.C. Richards, to replace my old one that broke down from another company. I must say that this one is great! I love the pump that pumps the water up and out into our "slop-sink", which I love - especially not having to empty the container daily! This machine is also very quiet, which is a wonderful feature. I would recommend this Dehumidifier to anyone. Kudos and Five Stars to Frigidaire for such a terrific product!!

I bought this dehumidifier several weeks ago and it has worked perfectly. It™™s in my large, basement family room, which no longer feels damp or musty. I really like being able to set the humidity level I want and it clicks on/off perfectly. However™¦then I decided to attach the hose and turn on the pump to automatically drain the water (emptying the bucket manually is easy but it™™s heavy, and my laundry room sink is close enough to run the hose to, so I figured the machine could do the work for me ??)The issue is that the directions in the manual refer to a ™grey ring™ which needs to be ™pressed™ while removing the plug from the back of the machine™¦.and NOTHING on the back of my unit is grey. Everything is white. In trying to ™press™ one piece while also pulling the plug, I completely destroyed both the plug and the collar it fits into.Good news - at that point I could insert the hose and turn on the pump. It works perfectly! Bad news - I no longer have a functional plug if I ever need to stop using the pump and remove the hoseGood news - Frigidaire employee Eddie (at Frigidaire itself, not the parts company they refer you to) was AWESOME both on the phone and via email. My manual is from the previous version of this unit™¦..he had newer design info which matches my unit, and identified the parts I had mangled. They are now ordered and I expect to have them soon. Side note - using the pump works perfectly, but the pump is just a little louder than the normal fan noise from the machine. However, it only pumps when the bucket is full, then doesn™™t pump again until the bucket is full again™¦and if I hear the change in sound I kind of like knowing that it™™s working!Love the unit, loved the customer service™¦.but don™™t trust the manual!!!

It has been a few weeks now and this unit has effortlessly kepy my very damp basement dry. Possibly a touch quieter than the similar unit it replaced, which lasted only three years. Having read the numerous reviews of quick product failures, I purchased a long term serice contract. We will see. For the first few weeks, it has performed up to 5 star level. I have to admit I am fully expecting to be disappointed by quick product failure and problems with getting the issue addressed - based only upon the numerous reviews I have read reporting such issues.

I have had the Frigidaire dehumidifier set up in my basement for several weeks and it seems to be working very well! It was very easy to set up using the internal pump and a hose going into my sump pump. It is very quiet, and the basement feels very dry, so I'm very pleased! What else can I say? It was easy to set up, it works well, it purifies the air, and it's quiet! It is also very nice looking!

Just replaced a 5 year old Frigidaire dehumidifier that actually started giving out a few years ago. I've gotten more moisture out of the air in the first day with new unit than in the past year with the older unit. It's very quiet and really moves a lot of air. I'm concerned about the longevity of this unit - not because of the brand, just because these things never seem to last more than a few years. we'll see. One minor complaint: when it fills up, it's filled right to the very top. Hard to remove the bucket without spilling water. Otherwise, happy so far, though.

It honestly surprised me how much moisture this dehumidifier unit pulls out of the indoor air of our house. We are very happy that this unit, along with our central air conditioning system, is doing a great job to regulate the overall humidity level and helping us actually run the central air a lot less than in the past.

I have only had this dehumidifier for a week, and am amazed at the amount of water it has taken out of my basement. It was bought to replace a 20+ year old whirlpool dehumidifier which suddenly gave up. It was easy to set up, runs quietly, and does an excellent job at dehumidifying and removing the musty smell.not to mention that it looks good too. I highly recommend it.

Old dehumidifier was struggling to get basement humidity below 60%. My new dehumidifier (FFAP5034W1) got it down to 40% in 2 days and has kept it there. The active pump is a great feature.

My current dehumidifier didn™™t last more than two years. I have replaced my dehumidifiers every two years for the last 15 years it is tedious and disappointing. This particular dehumidifier. I just bought yesterday. I set it up with its pump and humidity in my basement went from 69% down to 50% humidity,in less than six hours . I was very pleased. I hope I can get more than two years out of this Frigidaire. It is my first time using a Frigidaire dehumidifier so far so good I will remain hopeful ™¦..time will tell.

The weather has just turned very hot and humid so the jury is out how it will perform over the next several days and through the summer.
